In March, we got together with some of the greatest minds in agriculture, food, and ranching to hold a panel exploring our planet’s climate and our joint responsibility to care for it. Now, you can watch and share this provocative panel, which draws on the collective knowledge of renegade ranchers, rebel scientists, and cutting edge product manufacturers and focuses on a counter-intuitive approach to solving the issues of climate change, desertification, biodiversity loss, and degradation of land. Grounded in empirical scientific data with living examples from around the world, this conversation creates a comprehensive argument that cattle and other ruminant animals can help build carbon-sequestering soils, prevent desertification, and increase biodiversity. While no single approach to solving our greatest environmental threats exists, this panel makes a convincing case that livestock MUST be a part of the holistic solution.
Hosted by EPIC Provisions and presented to a packed room of natural foods leaders, this panel was a part of the 2017 Expo West climate discourse. The industry disrupting panelists include Will Harris from White Oak Pastures, Chris Kerston from the Savory Institute, and Taylor Collins from EPIC Provisions. The panel was moderated by John Foraker, one of the natural foods industry’s most profound leaders and President of Annies. This panel session was one of the most provocative and shared presentations at Natural Products Expo West. We hope you enjoy it!
