A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study, conducted by a third-party sustainability science firm, confirmed that White Oak Pastures, EPIC's supplier of beef for this product, uses a variety of practices, such as composting and converting degraded cropland to perennial pasture, to offset 80% of its emissions from all 10 livestock species on the farm. This illustrates the importance of looking at the entire farm as an ecosystem.
